YOUR INTERESTS ARE A WAY IN

Start with
something you love.

You already work things out every day. In a game. Through a song. While making something your own.

Zavmo draws on those connections to help unfamiliar ideas make sense. Your subject stays the same. The way into it becomes yours.

Bring your kind of curious.
ASK. TRY. ASK AGAIN.

There’s room
to work it out.

You don’t have to get it first time. Talk through your thinking, ask for another example, then have a go yourself.

EXAMPLE
I understand the picture. But why is 2/4 the same as 1/2?
Think of four equal beats in a bar. Two beats take up half the bar. You’re describing the same amount in two ways.
2 of 4 = half
Your turn: if there are eight equal beats, how many would fill half?
4. I can see it now.
✓ You’ve connected the fraction to the whole.

A LITTLE SUPPORT, YOUR WAY

“Could we try it a different way?”

Let’s just take the first bit.

We can break a question into smaller parts. Work through one, then decide when you’re ready for the next.

Illustrative example · Different approaches. Same learning goal.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

A few things
you might be wondering.

No perfect questions.
No need to pretend you get it.

What if I still don’t understand?

Say so. Ask to slow down, go back a step or try another example. A learning conversation gives you room to explain which bit is confusing and work from there.

Will this match what I’m learning at school?

Your course and awarding body set the boundaries. Before a school pilot starts, we confirm the specification and the topics covered. Your interests help shape the explanation; they don’t change what you need to learn.

Your teacher’s lesson order may be different. We agree the pilot focus with your school.

Can I just get the answer?

The aim is to help you understand how to get there. Expect questions, explanations, hints and a chance to practise, so you can have a go on your own too.

What if I’m dyslexic, have ADHD or learn differently?

You deserve support that takes how you learn seriously. You can ask for a smaller step, a clearer explanation or another example. For the school pilot, we’ll discuss the support and access needs of your group before you join.

Zavmo is a learning tool. It doesn’t diagnose learning differences or replace specialist support.

Is the conversation on this page the real tutor?

It’s a short, scripted example to show the approach. It isn’t connected to the live AI tutor and doesn’t create an account. School pilot access is arranged separately.

How do I get to try Zavmo?

Try the short example here first. If you’d like to explore a school pilot, show this page to a teacher. We’ll agree the course, access and support with your school before learners start.
